7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to playing Everquest II, tomorrow my plans include sleeping in late and Sunday, I want to watch the Puppy Bowl!

Camera Critters: New Collar and Snow Day

I purchased a new collar for Shelby last week.  I wanted to get a few photos
of her in the new collar so I took her outside to play in the snow.  The first
photo below is the best shot I could get of her and the collar.  The other photos
are just random shots of her playing in the snow.

Friday Fill-Ins: Taco Bell Style

Drivin' down the interstate,

What did you have to eat last night? For supper I had toast with butter & jelly, two fried eggs and two slices of ham.  For a late evening snack I had a bowl of cereal.

Did you watch any good TV shows or movies last night? I watched several episodes of Dirty Jobs on Netflix.

Did any news items stand out to you last night? Not really.

Did you go out last night? No.

What was the weather like last night? Around 13 degrees and overcast.  

What was the last thing you said last night? "It's bedtime Shelby! Are you ready to go night night potty?" (said to my dog)

Christmas 2013 was spent in Texas.

On December 23, 2013 I went with my husband and his side of the family

on a horse drawn carriage ride  through Wichita Falls, TX.  It was rather cold

outside!  But I had a blast!! Here are a few photos from that night.

1. What did you get for Christmas? A bracelet, candy, a cute little Snoopy, a cookie jar, baklava, a Dallas Cowboys football jersey and a trip to Texas!

2. Have you taken down your Christmas decorations? The few decorations I had in the house have been taken down but not my outside decorations.  It is too cold out to take them down so I will wait until spring.

3. What did you do for New Years Eve? Went to bed at 10:00 and slept.

4. Do you like accents? Yes, especially southern accents and Irish accents.

5. What kind of television do you have? A very large Vizio in my living room and a smaller on in the bedroom. 

6. Did you make any changes at the beginning of 2014? No.

7. What’s the last book you read and do you recommend it? "A Wanted Man" by Lee Child and I do recommend reading it.  It is a Jack Reacher story.

8. Do you stay current on celebrity gossip? No.

9. Do you know the words to Bohemian Rhapsody? Gangstas Paradise? Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Yes, yes and yes.

Ignorant and Stupid

***I found an article online and found the following paragraphs to be quite interesting.***

"When you call a person stupid, you are insulting them. When you call them ignorant, you are assuming that you are more intelligent than they are and have a better grasp of knowledge. Neither phrase is appropriate in civil conversation, yet many of us use the words on a regular basis, often directing them toward people who we find cumbersome or irritating and who do not share our point of view.

Calling someone or something stupid generally implies that we think we are somehow better than them. Everyone has an off day and can say or do something that is not very sensible, but that does not mean that they are incapable of being a valued part of humanity. Things are rarely stupid. If they do not work properly or are left sitting out somewhere where we can trip over them, it is most likely human error and most likely our error and we should blame ourselves, not the thing, though it is also not okay to call yourself stupid.

As for dealing with “stupid” people or things; if possible, walk away.

There is something stimulating about arguing with someone over something you are passionate about, but if the conversation turns angry and accusing, then you need to step away from “winning the argument” and realize that it is better to be momentarily stupid and learn from your mistakes than to be ignorant and pretend you don’t make them."

Each day I am more and more amazed at people that call themselves Christians, yet they spew hatred, pass judgement on others and threaten others (even subtle threats count as a threat).

Threats, spewing hate and passing judgement only causes more heartache. Why can't the world be more kind.

1. What did you want to be when you were little? A computer programmer.

2. Would you prefer to have a large group of friends, or a small group of friends? Why?  I prefer a small group of friends because it is easier to keep track of everyone.

3. What is your fashion “style”? Or what type of clothes do you wear on a daily basis? I don't have a fashion style.  I wear what is comfortable and what actually fits my very large body.
