Stuck in My Head: "My Immortal" by Evanesence

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years

But you still have all of me
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
You still have all of me, me, me

Mama Washed Shelby's Blanket

This morning I washed Shelby's favorite blanket. After making sure the blanket was nice and dry, I put it back on Shelby's bed. Shelby sniffed the blanket all over, then finally laid down on it.  But, she refused to look at me. I guess she liked the blanket being stinky.

Sunday Stealing: Cricket's Drivel

 https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/
1. When was the last time you went to the doctor? Do you like your doctor? I went recently to see the doctor.  I really do like her since she actually listens to my concerns.  She addresses all my questions and actually spends time with me during my visit.

2. My back is itching, will you scratch it for me? I will hand you a back scratcher!  I have several of them around the house.
3. Do you have nice handwriting? Not really.

4. We are sending you to either New Zealand or Canada, which one do you choose? New Zealand

5. Do you sing in the shower? Yes.

6. Have you ever been streaking? If so, how far did you streak and did anyone see you? I only went streaking one time. It was from the truck to the river (not very far at all). The only person that saw me was my at-the-time boyfriend.

7. How soon is too soon for Christmas decorations and music playing in the stores? Christmas decorations and Christmas music should start the week of Thanksgiving and last until Christmas....and that is it!

8. If you celebrated Halloween as a kid what was the costume you wore at 5? I did celebrate Halloween as a kid but I do not remember the costume I wore at age 5.  More than likely it was a homemade costume.

9. How many cavities have you had in your life? As a kid I had several but none as an adult.

10. Is there anyone you regret meeting. Several people.

First Day Of Summer Sunrise

Happy First Day of Summer Everyone!
This morning's sunrise was beautiful. (My camera did not
fully capture all of the beauty, but got close).  The sun was
fighting with the rain clouds. The rain won the battle.

Stuck In My Head: "I Don't Care" by Apocalyptica

I try to make it through my life
In my way, there's you
I try to make it through these lies

And That's all, I do

Just don't deny it
Don't try to fight this
And deal with it
That's just part of it.

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care
I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
Cause I swear (I swear)

I don't care
I try to make you see my side
I always try to stay in line
But your eyes see right through
That's all they do
I'm getting buried in this place

I've got no room you're in my face
Don't say anything just go away
If you were dead or still alive
I don't care
I don't care

Just go and leave this all behind
Cause I swear (I swear)

I don't care

(Love changing everything)
(You won't be there for me)
(Love changing everything)
(You won't be there for me)
If you were dead or still alive

I don't care
I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
Cause I swear (I swear)
I don't care
If you were dead or still alive
I don't care (I don't care)
I don't care (I don't care)
Just go and leave this all behind
I don't care (I swear)
I don't care
At all

Favorite Spot with Favorite Blanket

Shelby decided it was to hot outside for her and that staying in the house, laying in one of her favorite spots, on one of her favorite blankets was the best thing to do. Plus, laying on this blanket keeps her Mama from giving the blanket a bath (the blanket really needs to be washed!)

You Are Loved!

Today, when you look at your life, who you have become, be grateful that you've made it to today. I am sure you have had moments when you thought you were gonna drown. When you felt like you couldn't handle it any longer. BUT you are here and you are stronger than you thought you were. You are stronger than you think you are today

You didn't arrive alone. You have had provision that surprised you, and support that helped hold you up You may not have even realized the influence that a simple smile may have had on your troubled heart or the hand that diverted that "last straw" that would have completely broken you.

Let the memory of your trials be a place of gratitude and the memory of your times of joy be sustenance for what may be hard today.

If your days are easy right now, store the joy in your heart like priceless treasure! Be the influence of strength while you are strong. Be the smile, the comfort of provision, the words of experience.

Know that you are loved.

Shelby Don't Not Appreciate Interrupting Trains

Song That Defines Your Life

Mine is....
I Just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder

No New Year's Day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring, no song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain
No flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high
No warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze
No falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun
No Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is, though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart
Can we sing it one more time please
I just called to say I love you (I just called to say, I just called to say I love you)
I just called to say how much I care, I do (I just called to say, I just called to say I do)
I just called to say I love you (I just called to say, I just called to say I love you)
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart, of my heart, I love you form the bottom of my heart
