"There's nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child." ~*~ Erma Bombeck (1927-1996) ~*~ American author and humorist.
I used to think this way, until I had a child. Now, I am so excited to see her experience it! Funny how one's visions of things changes once a child is involved.
Oooooh. But I have to agree w/ Kiy. There was some luster lost until I had children, now I am so giggly excited for it to get here, it's almost ridiculous.
That's a marvellous quote, although I've realised grown ups grow up best if they keep the inner child inside them - and allow it out now and again. It's nearly Christmas! Yippee!!!
Having children of my own did change things but now that they are teens, Christmas is not as much fun :(. I have a grandson but cant spoil him from a distance :(
Oh sooooooooooooooooo true!
