    Yes, yes, yes to Spaceballs! My own '80s faves would be Eddie and the Cruisers (also one of my favorite imaginary bands) and of course pretty much all of John Hughes' movies: Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
