Day 1: I am thankful for my son, Colt and my daughter, Vickie.
Day 2: I am thankful for my grandsons, Colton and Jeremiah.
Day 3: I am thankful for my husband, Steve.
Day 4: I am thankful for my dog, Shelby.
Day 5: I am thankful for my brother, Brian.
Day 6: I am thankful for my mother-in-law and father-in-law  (Judy and Chuck).
Day 7: I am thankful for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law (Mike and Tami).
Day 8. I am thankful for my sister-in-law, Christina.
Day 9: I am thankful for my niece, Amy and my nephews, Joseph and Brandon.

Day 10: I am thankful for two people that have been there for me for many, many years...Nancy Joe and Johnny.
Day 11: I am thankful for all Veterans, today and every day!
Day 12: I am thankful for my niece-in-laws and nephew-in-laws (Jamie, Melissa, Alice, Michael David, Patricia, Tonja, Francis).
Day 13: I am thankful for my aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Day 14: I am thankful for my friends online and offline.
Day 15: I am thankful for my co-workers.
Day 16: I am thankful for my paycheck.
Day 17: I am thankful for the roof over my head.
Day 18: I am thankful for my Jeep.
Day 19: I am thankful for my computer.
Day 20: I am thankful for the Internet and the mindless hours of entertainment it provides.

Day 21: I am thankful for my health, even if it isn't the greatest.
Day 22: I am thankful for those that accept me for who I am.
Day 23: I am thankful for each of my senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell).
Day 24: I am thankful for books and the wisdom they bring to my life.
Day 25: I am thankful for having a nice, warm bed to sleep in each night.
Day 26: I am thankful for the time I got to spend with my Mom and Dad before they passed away.
Day 27: I am thankful for the time I got to spend with Grandma and Grandpa Henson before they passed away.
Day 28: I am thankful for the food that I eat today and every day.
Day 29: I am thankful for blue skies, sunny days and the smell of fresh rain.
Day 30: I am thankful for life and the experiences it has given me. Those experiences have made me who I am today.

Sunday Stealing: Thanksgiving Meme

1. What do you have for breakfast on Thanksgiving? An apple or something small so that I can save room for Thanksgiving dinner.

2. Do you go to a Thanksgiving parade or watch one on TV? I watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade each year.

3. Do you serve appetizers, lunch, or snacks during the day? Snacks throughout the day.

4. What are the traditional favorites? Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, pumpkin pie and sweet iced tea.

5. What new recipes will you try this year? None.  

6. What part of the meal do you never compromise? The turkey.

7. Who gets to carve the turkey? Me.

8. Family style around the table or buffet style and everyone sits wherever there’s room? Buffet style and everyone sits where ever.

9. How many will be at your table this year? At least two.

10. Once you're at the table, do you say grace or a toast or does everyone go around and say what they're thankful for? We say grace.

11. Cranberry sauce… yay or nay? Yay!!! I love cranberry sauce.

12. What time do you eat Thanksgiving Dinner? Around 2:00PM

13. Three best pies for Thanksgiving dessert? Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie and Chocolate Pie

14. Do you have dessert right after the main meal or later on? Both!

November Thankful Challenge Day 18


Everyday we should be thankful for the people and animals we love, the people and animals that love us and for the things we have.  For the month of November I am taking the Thankful Challenge by writing one person/animal/thing I am thankful for each day until November 30th!  I will be posting here on my blog and on Facebook. 4. How old do you think you’ll be when you get married? I am married now.
5. Do you know a hoarder? Yes
6. Can you do a split? Not any more.
7. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike? 9 or 10
8. How many oceans have you swam in? One
9. How many countries have you been to? One (and I live in it)
10. Is anyone in your family in the military? Yes
11. Have you named any of your body parts? Yes
12. If you had a child today, what would you name him/her? I already have two children (Vickie and Colt) and I am quite happy with just two. However, I would like another dog and/or puppy.
13. What’s the worst grade you got on a test? F
14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child? Oh I had many favorite show!  Sesame Street, The Dukes of Hazzard, M*A*S*H, Little House on the Prairie, Gilligan's Island, and more!
15. What did you dress up as on Halloween when you were eight? I don't remember.  Probably 
something easy like a cat or ghost.

16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight series? I have read all of the Harry Potter series, a few of the Hunger Games series and only book one of the Twilight series.  I didn't enjoy the Twilight series and had  to force myself to finish the first book.
17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent? I would rather have (keep) my American accent.
18. Did your mother go to college? No
19. Are your grandparents still married? They were still married when they passed away (Grandpa in 1988 and Grandma in 1981).  And I am sure they would still be married if they were alive.


20. Have you ever taken karate lessons? Yes21. Do you know who Kermit the frog is? Yes
22. What was the first amusement park you've been to? Six Flags in St. Louis, Missouri when I was very young.
23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in? I would like to be fluent in Spanish.
24. Do you spell the color as grey or gray? Gray
25. Is your father bald? Dad had a full head of hair when he passed away in 1992 at age 46.
