I never knew my dad's parents(Charles Edward Pinkley and Averah Elizabeth Vance-Pinkley) They both passed away before I was born. I have no photos of Grandma & Grandpa Pinkley and I do not remember ever seeing a photo of them. Dad did not talk about them much.
My mother's parents (Raymond Elmer Henson and Juanita Frances Ketcherside-Henson) lived next door to me as I was growing up. I have a few photos of Grandpa but none of Grandma. They were both great people and I remember holidays and fun times spent with them.

Water, hand towels to wipe off sweat, snacks for me and the dog, a dog bowl to give the dog water in, my cell phone, a small first aid kit, a flashlight and my wallet.

When I was younger, I like camping, fishing, swimming and hanging out, outside. Now that I am older, I prefer to stay home with my dog.

The time I purchased the house I am living in now. It was during COVID and prices for houses was insane. I refused to offer anything over the asking price for a house so I missed out on a few great houses. I got really lucky with my house....I did not go over asking price and still got the house!

Peep frogs, crickets, birds signing, leave rustling in the breeze, and all the sounds of the wildlife.

My husband was alive last summer and this summer he is not. Life is the same as it was yet completely different.

Tee-shirts and shorts, or tee-shirts and lightweight pants, no shoes.

As a younger adult I would go camping, fishing, swimming and go on small trips. Now that I am older, I prefer to stay home with my dog.

Just a few close friends for dinner and then sit around the fire pit and chat.

Sorry about you not having any pictures of some of your grandparents- I am doing genealogy and am sensitive to that sort of thing. Btw I am writing this on a phone while waiting on a train so my name may not show (Roger Green)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I realized you had lost your husband. I am sorry. I do not have many pictures of my grandparents, either. I only have one of my grandfather on my mother's side.
