Sunday Stealing for 13 October 2024

Welcome to this week's Sunday Stealing

I love you and I am sorry.

2. What do you spend the most time thinking about?

The good old days.

Housework!

4. What mistake do you keep making again and again?

Trusting people before they prove I can trust them.

A teddy bear when I was a little kid.  The bear had a music box inside her tummy. I slept with her every night....even into my adult years.  I really miss that bear.

6. What’s the best and worst thing about getting older?

The best part of getting older is saying that I made it this far, and the worst part is getting closed to death.

7. What do you wish your brain was better at doing?

I wish my brain would stop running so fast that I cannot sleep well....and I wish it would focus more on the positive and less on the negative,

8. If your childhood had a smell, what would it be?

Fresh lilacs and honeysuckle

9. What have you created that you are most proud of?

My beautiful children.

10. What were some of the turning points in your life?

The death of my son, the death of my husband and the death of my parents.

11. What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?

None that I can think of.

12. What small impact from a stranger made a big impact on you?

Many years ago, my son and I stopped at Baskin Robins to get egg nog shakes.  I was down to my last few dollars, but I had promised Colt he would get his shake that day. When I get to the check out, I was told my items were already paid for. The soldiers in line ahead of us had paid for our shakes.  Colt ran over and gave them both a big hug.  I was in tears as I thanked them. I will never forget their kindness.

13. As you get older, what are you becoming more and more afraid of?\

Death

14. What are some of the events in your life that made you who you are?

My childhood, and becoming an adult too quickly.

15. What could you do with $2 million to impact the most amount of people?

I would donate it all to the hurricane helene victims in North Carolina.  They need warm places to live, clean water and so much more.
